We wanted to inform you about an important update concerning your Google Analytics data. Several clients have reached out to us regarding the warning message displayed on their GA dashboards about completing the setup of GA4, and more critically, about retaining historical data.

As you may be aware, the old GA Universal data will no longer be available after 1st July 2024, as GA4 is now actively collecting data from your website. If you wish to retain your historical data, it’s crucial to export it before this deadline. You can save this data in various formats such as Excel, Google Sheets, CSV, or PDF. Exporting it to Excel, for instance, allows you to work with the data in tools like Looker Studio, which we will cover in our upcoming training session with Alastair.

To assist you with this process, we have created a short video tutorial that walks you through the steps of exporting your data:

Key Points:

  • Export your GA Universal data before 1st July 2024.
  • Save your data in formats such as Excel, Google Sheets, CSV, or PDF.
  • Reach out to us for any assistance or questions.

This task should take approximately 30-45 minutes for most users. However, if you encounter any difficulties or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help!
