WordUp Inverness 2012 is an ‘unconference’ style event that unites users of the popular blogging and content management software WordPress, and it will be heading north for its bi-annual event in November.
Local organiser Marc Hindley, of WPScotland, said: “Think of all the aspects of a trade conference that you hate, and an unconference removes them.
“High ticket prices, stuffy speakers, rigid agenda. WordUp’s format is driven by the attendees. We choose the venue and date, and the participants choose what they want to hear about and who they want to hear from.”
There will be a full day’s programme of tutorials and wisdom which traditionally has turned into a social event for the evening.
