New Funding Opportunity for Small and Medium Businesses in Scotland
Looking to enhance your team’s digital skills? The Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) is open for applications! The FWDF provides eligible employers of non-levy paying SMEs in Scotland with up to £5,000 of support to upskill employees. This is great news for businesses seeking to invest in digital training.
Unlock your Business Potential with the Flexible Workforce Development Fund
Businesses are allowed to apply for the FWDF once per academic year. You can apply through your local college or the Open University. If your business is not currently supported by Skills Development Scotland, referral via your local college is necessary. The FWDF allows businesses to access private training providers, as long as 80% or more of the training required is not already offered by local colleges or the Open University. (You can find a list of Scottish colleges that offer training through the FWDF here).
The last date for application is 31st July 2023. Make sure you act quickly as it is first-come, first-served basis! Training must be contractually agreed by 31st July 2023, started by 31st August 2023 and completed by 31st December 2023.
